Re-enactor photography update
Looking forward to re-enactors staging new events in 2021.Will this happen is yet to be confermed but we all hope it will be soon. I have recently purchased 2 new Sony camera’s the Sony 7ARiii and a Sony 7aiii. I find these mirrorless cameras are ideal for Re-enactor photography because they are lighter in weight and size than the larger SLR’s of Canon and Nikon.
It is the eye focus on both these cameras that has attracted me to buying them because with re-enactor photography you have to be very alert and quick to capture some of the great moment that you get in Re-enactor photography.I have missed the Multi Period re-enactor event at Spetchley Park near Worcester over the last 2 years as this was a great event to capture images from all different types of re-enactors at this event.I have also missed the Ragged Victorians who are one of the top re-enactor groups in the country and they are the one re-enactor group that have won me the most International awards.
The Ragged Victorians re-enactor group who have their background theme dating back to 1850 showing how the dirty and unwashed of this period managed to scape a living in the sqallid streets normally have about 12-14 events per year and they way that portray this period is outstanding.
I will be taking portraits of re-enactors once they are able to get back to the events and will be selling either A3 mounted prints or canvas wall prints to them at resonable prices. If anyone is interested in having their portraits taken please contact me via my contact page on this website or just watch out for me at any of the re-enactor events that will be running in the future.
Looking forward to meeting up with Lenny and Lee thomas the administrators of the Ragged Victorians re-enactor group along with Kayleigh Iremonger and her sister Kirsty Hendry who I have not seen in over 2 years. Hopefully this re-enactor group will be at the SS Great Britian re-enactment events in Bristol soon.
We are now into 2022 and with a bit of luck Covid has become less dangerous and all re-enactor events will start up. The Ragged Victorians have quite a full season ahead of them with a weekend in the Dean Heritage centre on the 28th and 29th May 2022.
